A British technology company, EvoPhase, has created a new wind turbine called the "Birmingham Blade." This turbine is specially designed using artificial intelligence (AI) to work well in cities.
Traditional wind turbines are made for strong winds usually found in open areas or the countryside. But in cities, the wind is slower and unpredictable because of tall buildings, which makes these turbines less effective. EvoPhase used AI to design a turbine that can produce electricity efficiently even with slow and changing winds in urban areas.
Using AI, EvoPhase tested and analyzed over 2,000 designs in just a few weeks. They developed a final design that is seven times more effective in cities than current wind turbines. The Birmingham Blade has a compact, vertical design, making it easy to install on rooftops. This could bring clean, affordable energy to city residents.
This innovation could make green energy more accessible in urban areas!
